Casino Nights in Colorado!

Deuces Wild, Colorado Springs, CO, recently sponsored a casino night fundraiser event along with many of the home builders and the Housing and Building Association Of Colorado Springs. The casino night was held to raise money to help Devan Williams, who just turned 9 on Friday the 12th of May and has been terminally diagnosed with brain cancer. there was a great turnout and the event raised over $5,000.00. Everyone one had a great time and Devan was presented with the check the week of the 18th of May.

More Trouble in California

As if suddenly enforcing a previously 'look the other way' law with regard to casino night fund raisers weren't enough, a new twist has been added to the mix.
Just now placed on the same Senate schedule for June 13 is Bill AB 1620 dealing with "gaming licenses".
This bill is reiterating the requirement for a $500.00 non refundable application fee (not a license)to determine suitability to grant this license.
After approval, the business will then be assessed a per table per year fee, which goes up incrementally based upon the number of tables you have. In the case of Valley Vegas Nights in Riverbank, CA, the least they would be pay would be $2,700.00 per table per year.
AB 1620 has just been introduced, but has been attached to Bill AB 839, already poised to become law in January, 2007. To protect themselves from being taxed out of business, all California casino party companies, and even those not in California, because this can happen to anyone in any state, should march on Sacramento to show the legislature the economic impact passage of AB 1620 would have on the state's economy.

Colorado Springs Chamber Expo

Deuces Wild, Colorado Springs, CO has recently added Game Show Mania to their repertoire. The new show will be showcased at the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Annual Expo, May 25th at the Phil Long Expo Center in Colorado Springs.

To qualify for the game show, contestants will play against a Deuces Wild blackjack dealer. Prizes will be given out every hour, drawn from the names of the contestants who won their round at the game show.

Hourly prize winners will compete in the final game show round, and the winner of that round will receive a great prize package consisting of a mini casino party, choice of an inflatable or other game, decorations for their party and much more.

Trouble in California

Charities have been holding casino nights, Monte Carlo nights, Reno nights for years to raise money, but California state agents are suddenly shutting them down because they’re illegal. Until recently, law enforcement agencies traditionally have not been enforcing this law, recognizing that it was ill-written. In fact, a state bill is working its way through the legislature to correct the wording. In the interim, however, the Attorney General's Office began to suddenly enforce the law. The monetary loss to casino party companies and other industries, such as the non profit organizations themselves, truck rentals, tuxedo shops, venues, decorators, etc. is anticipated to top $ 300,000,000 for 2006 alone.
Casino party companies in California are uniting to try to stop the actions of the Attorney General’s Office until the new bill passes and goes into effect in 2007. They are asking for public support by mail or email so that they can go to the AG office to show the impact their actions are having on the state’s economy.
